This foundation launched a while back and after seeing lots of good reviews on YouTube and blogs,I decided to pick one for myself.Finding a dupe for my trusted Estee Lauder Double Wear that’s cheaper and going to last just as long,I thought was going to be difficult, but here it is, L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24hr Foundation.(This has more matte and Estee Lauder has more coverage.)
This foundation is definitely very lightweight,it dries extremely fast and just melts in like a second skin. The foundation comes in a plastic squeeze tube, which is very convenient travel wise and makes it easy to control the amount of product that comes out.Its gives light to a medium coverage but buildable,it’s matte and it does dry and set a bit too fast,so I would work on one side of the face first and then move on. The texture is not thin but not too thick and does feel air-light like L’oreal claims.
I won’t recommend this foundation for dry skin, it will look really flat. It’s best for combination and oily skin.I have dark spots, this foundation did well at blurring them but didn’t totally cover them. And what I love most about this foundation,is the lasting power. It’s lasted 10HR without blotting..No shine whatsoever and after the 10HR,my face still looked fresh like I just applied the foundation..
My skin is becoming really dry lately,so my first application was terrible.I used the MUFE mattifying primer, then beauty blender(damp) to apply the foundation and it didn’t blend at all.It sets immediately it touches my face,I even tried Sigma 3D HD kabuki brush,it was the same.My face was just too dry,and the MUFE primer made it worse.
So here is how it worked on my “dry skin “.First I mixed Embryolisse and Nars orgasm illuminator, then applied it as primer, since I don’t have a hydrating primer. It made my face dewy, I immediately applied the foundation using a Sigma Flat kabuki F80 sprayed with Mac fix+. It blended easily and was just flawless. If you have dry skin and still want to try this foundation,I recommend you use a hydrating primer first before applying the foundation..
Now let me talk about the annoying thing about this foundation.Am Mac nw43,I have to mix two shades to get my shade for this foundation, soft sable 111 & cocoa 112(this are the darkest shades). The mixing is nothing, but the fact that they only have 3 shades for dark skin tone is the issue.Which means if you are nw50 and above, you probably wouldn’t be able to use this foundation..Not nice L’oreal, not nice.
Over all,I love this foundation. At the moment,it’s on my top 5 favourite foundation list. And if you can find your shade, you will love it too.Its just perfect for our hot weather..
Let me know your thoughts,if you have tried this foundation.
