HEY BEAUTIES!!!

Pixi Glow Tonic. (£18)

If you’re a regular in the beauty world then you most probably have already heard about Pixi Glow Tonic . It’s a much raved about and loved product by many skincare bloggers who I highly respect for their opinions, and I just had to get it.

What it is:

Oxygenating. Exfoliating facial glow tonic. It helps even out skin tone, firm and tighten the skin. It removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin. For all skin types. Alcohol and oil free.

Directions for use:

After cleansing your face, saturate a cotton pad with the tonic and sweep across face, neck and décolletage (avoiding eye area). Can be used AM and PM after cleansing.

This is an exfoliating toner that you use after cleansing your face (and before applying all your other skincare products). Which means it removes dead skin via exfoliating chemicals rather than by beads.

Previously I had been using the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator that I also love. I try not to get use to any skincare products no matter how nice, I love to try other products and thats why I bought the Pixi Glow Tonic. For me this wasn’t an instant love by any means. It was more the use over time ,which is preferable when it comes to skincare.  I use it after cleansing both day and night, using a cotton pad. Have been using it everyday for at least two months and I can finally see what some of the rave is about.

My skin is combination, with high pigmentation, acne spots and prone to acne.. I do really like this product now. It feels refreshing, it isn’t drying nor does it feel tight against the dry part of my skin( which i think makes it appropriate for all skin type) and it doesn’t sting. It helps to prep my skin so whatever I put on next absorbs better. After more continued use, I did notice that my skin started to look brighter and clearer. It also helps unclog my pores when its congested, If I get a pimple or a spot, I notice it helps heal more quickly with the help of the glycolic acid in it. As for firming or tighten like Pixi claims, I haven’t  notice any of that on my skin ..

In conclusion, If you are thinking of getting this, you should go for it. But it’s not something to be crazy about. And you have to be the patient type in other to see result with this product. Don’t expect magic, it’s just a toner.. Also it has this soft flora sent which might be disturbing to some people, but I don’t have any issue with the scent.

For my Nigerian beauties, you can get this from http://www.thedfstore.com .

Have a blessed day guys.

    2. Hi, Bimz,

I found ELEMIS cleanser’s very good as they have for all types of skin and there products are highly rated. They have products for all types of skin problems. I used to use everything ELEMIS when I was in the UK until I came back and could not continue to use them as they were not in Nigeria, but thank goodness, I found a retailer that stocks all their range and I feel so excited. You can check them out, http://www.beautyemporiumgc.com. They also offer skincare consultation, so might be good you ask them what is good for your skin. I have heard about this tummeric , infact my sister used it and it did her the same, lol.
