TARTE TARTEIST LIP PAINT-TBT.

HEY BEAUTIES!!

image

Here I have the Tarte Tarteist Lip paint ($20). I recently purchased the new Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint and am a little disappointed..

Description;

“Paint on pigment to create a tarteist™ lip masterpiece with this full coverage, longwearing liquid lipstick with a creamy, hydrating texture and a non-drying, matte finish.

The ultra-pigmented, vegan friendly formula comes in an array of on-trend bold and everyday shades with a custom precision wand that luxuriously glides over lips before drying down to a sophisticated, velvet matte finish.”

The lip paint comes in a traditional plastic transparent lip gloss packaging with a lengthy precision wand that glides over lips smoothly but its challenging to get a precise application with these.. It has a mild, cooling, minty smell and taste. I got the shade TBT.

TBT is a gorgeous mauve.

This product has a powdery formula. It looks dry in the tube but applies comfortably on the lips. It has a minty scent and feel that doesn’t linger tho, but am not a fan of it. It gives intense colour pay-off in just one swipe. Its cream with a mousse like texture, velvety, opaque and very pigmented.

First of all I have to say that this is a little different in formulation than your typical matte liquid lipsticks. They claim to be matte but never fully dry down on the lips. Which makes them moisturizing, very comfortable to wear and they have a pretty decent wear to them.

Overall, I like how smooth this is and the colour is beautiful, BUT this is NOT matte. The fact that it is falsely advertised as matte is the biggest issue for me. Why not advertise these as a gel lip paint or something,cause this is not MATTE in any way. SO ANNOYING.. There are a lot of people who don’t like matte formulas and these would be great for them.

I do not RECOMMEND these if you are all about matte lipsticks. But if you love an opaque and rich lip colour that is not matte, there is absolutely nothing wrong with these and you can give them a go.

My only disappointment is the fact that its called a MATTE lip paint and its not. Aside that, its a great product.
