If there is something I love more than makeup,it has to be taking care of my skin .. I DONT joke with my skin at all.. My skin comes first.. A short history about my skin..

I use to have very smooth, even and clear skin.. No acne, no discolouration, no dark circles just fresh smooth skin with occasion rashes when I want to see my P*****,and once am done, the rashes are gone. I didnt use any thing for them, they go on their own.. My skin problem started like 3years ago, and at that time I was using Elizabeth Arden which I didn’t know was fake.. I used it for more than a year and I started to have rashes allover my face, thinking it was the normal rashes, I did nothing about it. After like 4month with the rashes, I decided to stop the Elizabeth Arden and went to a friends place to get cream (she works at a spa).. for a few month my skin went back to normal and I was so happy, little did I know the worst was coming.

I only took pictures of one side..This was all over my forehead also.

Out of no where I started having acne . Like by morning I see like 6 huge acne on my face once, and that was how they kept coming.. With the acne, comes discolouration and high pigmentation .. Only me? I know right..

I can’t explain the effect this had on me guys, my life was terrible. I couldn’t go out or look people in the face,I just look down.. I was miserable and depressed… The funny thing was,I didn’t do anything about it for more than a year, because I always hear people say nothing works for acne, that they go on their own…. I cried although and hated my entire existence..

Anyway, while I was shopping for makeup online, I saw the store had neutrogena for acne so I decided to try and did some research on the internet concerning acne.. I got the neutrogena acne cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and acne scrub just for trying sake,I wasn’t expecting any result and I followed some of the instructions I saw on the internet.. To my surprise to some extent it was working.. The acnes weren’t coming like they use to,I was impressed and that moment I knew there were other products that are more effective.. I immediately started searching for acne solution on the internet.

To cut the long story short,( I will continue on another post) here are the acne cleanser I use and haven’t regretted using.

Am sure most of us already know about this cleanser and even use it..

Active Ingredient:
Salicylic Acid 2%

Inactive Ingredients:
Water, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Disodium EDTA, Benzalkonium Chloride , Yellow 5, Red 40, Fragrance .

Becareful with this cleanser, as it can be over drying and cause irritation on the skin which will result to more acne.. Make sure to use a good moisturizer after use.

Skincare expert advice people with acne prone skin not to use bar soap. (so i advice you check with an expert first before trying this).. This is definitely my favourite cleansing bar or soap ever.. It comes with a sponge and last more than 3months . I started seeing results within 3days of using this cleansing bar. My face was noticeably clearer and my acne reduced..Its pricey tho.

Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin (Vegetable), Purified Water, Sorbitol, Sorbitan Oleate, Soybean Protein, Sodium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Tsuga Canadensis Leaf Oil.

I preordered this from (@the_df_store) on instagram.

Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Laureth 13 Carboxylate, Disodium Cocamphodiacetate, Butylene Glycol, Sage Extract, Cucumber Extract, White Oak Bark Extract, Panthenol, Allantoin, Acrylates Copolymer, Methylgluceth-20, Polysorbate-20, Quaternium-15, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA.

This is truly gentle.. Removes oil from your face with out drying your skin.. This is the only acne cleanser I use that doesn’t have salicylic acid, and it really works. Just make sure to follow the direction provided.. If you are in Naija you can order from Youtopiabeauty.com

NOTE – Please guys when it comes to skincare, always follow instructions/direction/how to use provided by the brand you are using. Its mandatory.

So you can try anyone you can get your hands on..

Am not an expert, am just one of the many people that have suffered from acne.. (I still do once in a while). Am open to suggestions beauties, I love to try different products..

Have a blessed week.

      1. I think everyone dreads the day, they get acne ๐Ÿ˜”. I sometimes suggest going to a dermatologist, because sometimes we don’t know our skin to well and they may help us understand. If u have scars, stubborn blemishes, or hyperpigmentation, I suggest go to one. With stubborn acne, drugstore products don’t always work.

      2. I know, that why going to a dermatologist would help because drugstore products doesn’t always work. But, I’m glad those products work for you. I used to use the Neutrogena acne wash, and it’s really good.
