7 BEAUTY PRODUCTS WORTH THE SPLURGE

HI BEAUTYLOVERS!!

I know have been away like forever and I miss you guys too. But I have some personal issues that have been dealing with for years now. Infact its part of the reason I started blogging, to keep my mind occupied so I won’t be too miserable and depressed. But its in God’s hands and I pray he changes my situation soon. Amen

This post is by a GUEST BLOGGER (BEAUTYFRENZYBLOG). I love her and thought why not share some of her favourite high end products with us since am not strong enough to write myself. And am very happy she agreed to do so. Thank you Ijeoma. So let me leave you guys to enjoy the post.

Hi guys! I’m so excited to be guest blogging here today. I wanted to share some mid to high end products that I love and I think are absolutely worth their cost.

  1.  MAKEUP GEEK DUOCHROME HIGHLIGHTER – ABLAZE
I remember when Makeup Geek first launched their highlighters, and I was a little surprised by the $20 price tag, because their face products usually range from $10- $15. Well, after using this for a few months, I totally understand why. This highlighter is amazing. It’s really metallic, but there’s no glitter in it because it is very finely milled. I personally feel like the quality of these highlighters are just as great as the ones by Becca, but at a fraction of the cost. My personal favourite is the shade Ablaze. That shade in particular was voted the 3rd best highlighter of 2016 by Temptalia, so you know it’s good.20160930_185452_20170131185233758
  2.  BECCA SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTOR – BRONZED AMBER.
As someone with oily skin who lives in a humid climate, I can go from glowy to greasy real quick, so I prefer subtle highlighters because I feel like glittery ones always make me look greasy. Becca’s Bronzed Amber is the perfect everyday wearable highlighter in my opinion. It is very very subtle, and it’s perfect for those of us who don’t really like the visible-from-outer-space glow. I love it.img_20170101_232813_166-2
  3. ALPHA H LIQUID GOLD
This is a fairly potent chemical exfoliant that really freshens up the skin and visibly improves hyper pigmentation. It’s a little pricey at £33 for 100ml, but it’s really effective and a little goes a long way.20170201_145941
  4. ESSIE GEL COUTURE POLISHES
I’m not going to lie, it was the shape of these bottles that caught my interest. But the formula of this polish is awesome: it is self levelling. The consistency is perfect, the brush is shaped to prevent you from making a mess, and even the wand is fancied shaped to prevent you from picking up excess polish that drips all over the place. Essie did an awesome job with this, and the shade Take Me To Thread is such an interesting take on nude nail polish. And even though this is slightly more expensive than usual essie polishes, I think it’s totally worth it.20161211_142346-2
  5. VICHY DOUBLE GLOW PEEL MASK.
I honestly don’t know why Vichy hasn’t gone mainstream because they make such great products. Vichy is a French brand, a sister brand to the more famous La Roche Posay. Their Double Glow Peel Mask contains AHAs and volcanic rock which enables it to chemically and physically exfoliate the skin. Immediately after application, the skin looks brighter, more radiant and more even. It is probably my favourite mask at the moment.20170201_151159
  6. KATVON D LOCK IT CONCEALER.
If you want full, flawless under eye coverage, this concealer is the way to go. It comes in a wide range of shades and undertones, and it lasts all day. I also really love the packaging and the wand. Kat von D gets packaging right every time.20170201_150512
  7. BECCA MULTI TASKING PERFECTING POWDER.
This is one of Becca’s latest offerings, and they claim it can do pretty much everything you’d need a powder for. Personally, I like it best for setting my foundation. It gives a really great finish to the skin. I also like it for touch-ups, as it refreshes makeup without adding that cakey-ness that layering powders can sometimes cause. I highly recommend it, but if you’re buying online, beware that this is a travel sized item and it contains only 5.6 grams of product.

  1. I pray God perfects all that concerns you. Don’t give up dear, His grace is absolutely sufficient. I am excited to see Ijeoma’s post. I have not tried any of these, would be looking out to see which I can find. The Becca powder is definitely high on my list.
