Finally I will be sharing with you guys my thoughts on the Makeup Geek Contour Powder.
“Super soft and buttery smooth, Makeup Geek Contour Powders blend like a dream and have been specifically designed to accommodate skin tone extremes and everything in between. From the lightest of light, to the deepest of deep, we have your shade. Choose from a complete lineup of 8 unique shades—four with warm undertones and four with cool undertones.”
The Makeup Geek Contour Powders are available in 8 different shades, four with warm undertones and four with cool undertones. They are sold in individual pans , so you need a magnetic Zpalette for it.You can get one from their site to build your own collection. I got the shade Scandal.
SCANDAL – Has cool undertones and is best suited for deep skin tones.”
The formula is extremely pigmented and powdery. My first use scared me a little, because it looked so intense and had a bit of fall out. but I quickly noticed how well it blended as if it were a cream and didn’t even look powdery on the skin. The little fallout is due to the high pigmentation, which is not a big deal. I recommend tapping off the excess before applying to the face.
The Contour Powder feels very soft, glides on smoothly and blends like a dream. I start applying lightly and build to the level of intensity that I want. I always make sure to apply it (or any contour powder) to a powder base (that is after setting my face with powder) to ensure a smooth and flawless finish. You should always do same.
My favourite brush to use with this contour powder is the Morphy M509. It doesn’t pick too much products and blends nicely
Some cool tone powder seem to always give me that dirty/ashy look. But Scandal by Makeup Geek doesn’t, It gives my face the perfect depth and dimension. I love it.
