I reviewed the LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER not long ago and you all know it’s a favourite of mine for setting my highlighted areas (forehead, bridge of my nose, under eye and chin). It prevents creasing, blur my pores without looking cakey and gives a flawless matte finish. Laura Mercier just added a deeper version of her classic Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I was super excited when it was released, and I couldn’t wait to get my hand on it, to see what it would look like on my skin and in hopes that the formula remained the same.

With multiple major awards and counting, Laura Mercier’s “best in beauty”, cult-favorite bestseller is your go-to setting powder. Loose powder feels luxuriously dense in the jar, feels incredibly soft and silky-light on your skin. Pros love the super smooth application: goes on evenly, blends effortlessly, provides great wear. Sets makeup without adding weight or texture.

Creates a modern matte finish with a touch of sheer coverage. The translucent shade works on virtually all skin tones.

It has a soft-focus effect that subtly blurs the look of fine lines and imperfections. Doesn’t settle into fine lines or pores and never looks cakey.

The Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder Medium Deep is very smooth, buttery and luxurious just like the Original. The colour is warm toned and feels very lightweight on the skin.

Since I usually use the Original Translucent powder to set my highlighted areas, I thought I’d put the Medium Deep to the test by setting my highlighted areas with it.

The Translucent Medium Deep powder performed just like the original translucent powder. Blurred my pores, gave me a smooth and matte finish but it didn’t highlight. It’s my exact shade, which is great. It looked so natural and you can’t even tell I had powder on my face. No flashback and it doesn’t look ashy. I like my under eye to be a little brighter than the rest of my face and with the medium deep you can’t really see the difference. So I prefer to use my Original Translucent powder for that area and set my face with the Medium Deep..

I love using it to carving out my contour, it doesn’t leave any harsh line at all. It also works for everyday makeup looks with foundation or just on it own. For my beauties darker than Nc50/Nw 45, Medium Deep will be a perfect highlight setting powder for your under eye area.

I definitely love Medium Deep as much if not more than the Original Translucent powder. lol. It’s my favourite face powder right now.

Have a lovely day guys.
