I have been trying the Hegai & Esther Photo Perfect Foundation for two weeks now and I think its time I talk about it. If you don’t know already, Hegai & Esther is a Nigerian brand. They recently launched a new line of makeup products of Foundation, Powder, Eyeshadow palette etc. Lets get into it.
A longwearing, mattifying, and water-resistant foundation infused with a blend of oil absorbing and skin polishing agents that prevent the foundation from setting into fine lines whilst giving the skin a matte yet velvety photo perfect finish. Specially formulated to give a medium to full coverage.
Buildable Coverage- Light to Heavy
Doesn’t Shift With Sweat
Can be Worn Without Powder
It came packaged in a glass bottle with a black pump. The packaging is sleek and cute. It is scented. It smells really good and goes away a few minutes after application.
I got the shade COOKIE, and it matches me well.
The Hegai & Esther Duo Cover Photo Perfect Foundation is medium coverage on me. It blurs my spots and highpigmentation a little but I still have to use concealer to cover my spots if I want them invisible. You definitely need a good base with this foundation to help blur your pores. Because this foundation doesn’t do that on its own ,but it doesn’t make them more obvious than they already are. The MAKEUP FOREVER STEP 1 SKIN EQUALIZER IN MATTIFYING PRIMER works really well with it.
It goes on smoothly and blends seamlessly into the skin either with a foundation brush or beauty blender. It’s feels very lightweight on the skin, I don’t feel like I have anything on.
This foundation gives a semi matte velvet finish that doesn’t look flat or powdery. It just looks natural on the skin. Any skin type can definitely use it (dry, combination and oily skin). For my combination/oily skin beauties, make sure to use a setting powder to set it.
The Hegai & Esther Duo Cover Photo Perfect Foundation lasted between 4-5hours on me before touch up. It didn’t move around on my skin even when it started to get oily.
This foundation is not a favourite, But I am not mad at it at all. You can go for it if high pigmentation and dark spots are not a major issue for you.
Will I repurchase? maybe. Because for the price it’s not bad at all and did I forget to mention it has Spf 20? Yes it does, which is great..
Will you like to try it? Let me know.
