Today I am going to share with you all a review on the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. I have been using it for weeks now and it’s a new favourite foundation right now. I use the shade GOLDEN and here is my thought..

A foundation-and-concealer in one for a natural, beyond perfected look that lasts all day. Lightweight, moisturizing makeup covers thoroughly without clogging pores. Skin breathes comfortably, colour stays true, even through sweat and humidity.

Due to the rich pigment level that enhances this flawless coverage makeup, shades may appear deeper when first applied. Once blended completely and allowed to dry, Beyond Perfecting Makeup will melt into your skin for a Beyond Perfected flawless look. A little goes a long way!

It comes in a clear glass bottle with a doe-foot wand that’s slightly tapered at the end. I love the applicator. It’s way bigger than your normal Lipstick applicator and one dip is enough to cover one side of the face.

The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer is a medium to full coverage foundation. It’s full coverage on me. It covers my dark spots and discolouration beautifully. The texture is thick, creamy, pigmented and a little goes a long way. Too much can look cakey. It blends easily and flawlessly into the skin, doesn’t settle into fine lines or clog pores and gives me a near perfect finish.

My favourite part is that, It does not oxidize. It stays true to colour till you take it off. The shade Golden is just a perfect match. It match my face to my body so well, as my face is a little darker than my body. I love it.

I wore it to a wedding some weeks back and guys, I didn’t touch-up until after like 6hours. (I have other products to thank too) but the foundation didn’t move, even after it started to get oily. And after touch-up, it was like I just applied it. So if you are looking for a matte foundation that won’t look flat and stays put, you should try this.

The only issue I have with this foundation is that, it takes time to set. It claims to be moisturizing and I think that’s the reason. I like my foundation to set before applying powder, so I have to wait for like 3-5minutes for it to set, which can be annoying and time consuming. What I do is that I use a (almost dry) beauty blender to press it in after using a buffing brush. That way it sets quickly and am good. So you know, it will transfer when you touch it if you don’t set it with powder. Setting it is a must even if you have dry skin.

Any skin type can use this foundation (DRY, OILY OR COMBINATION). Just make sure to use a good mattifying primer and setting powder if you have oily skin..

I love the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. It looks so flawless on me and its a must have for me.

Have you tried it? Let me know your thoughts.

  1. I love how golden this shade is and the applicator looks so convenient. I’m worried it might not be the best for my oily skin in this Nigerian heat, because I’ve seen so many reviews with people saying they didn’t like it for their oily skin. I’ll try and get a sample or maybe give it a shot in the future. I’m a sucker for a good golden foundation.

    1. The golden shade is just perfection. Its not oily, but won’t dry matte either unless you set it with a powder. The Laura Mercier translucent medium deep and this foundation is a match made in heaven. lol. Once I set it, am good to go for like 5-6hours and thats pretty good for me. I just love the foundation tho.

  2. nice review, awww i just repurchased my Mac foundation last week oo and now am not understanding how Mac looks on me these clinique clarifying cleanser and toner disappointed me i don’t like looking at their products.*sigh*i might consider this foundation sha.
