Today I will be reviewing The Ordinary AHA+BHA 2% Peeling Solution..

The Ordinary AHA+BHA 2% Peeling Solution is an intense exfoliator that contains 30% Alpha Hydroxyl Acids (Glycolic/Lactic/Tartaric/Citric), to help to exfoliate the skin’s topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance. The 2% Beta Hydroxyl Acid (Salicylic Acid) exfoliate the skin and clear congested pores. The formula also contains Tasmanian Pepperberry, a crosspolymer form of hyaluronic acid to prevent irritation, Vitamin B5 to assist healing and black carrot as an antioxidant.

Sounds like we are in science class loll! So let me break it down. It’s a 10minute at home exfoliating treatment that gets rid of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin for a brighter and more even skintone. It helps to clear congested pores and  works on fine lines and wrinkles as well as texture for a smoother skin.

It’s very easy to use. You simply cleanse your face and make sure it is totally dry before applying the treatment like a mask. It has a thick serum like texture that glides over the skin easily. Rinse away after ten minutes maximum and then follow up with toner, serum and moisturizer. It can be used twice a week, but I use it once because I also use THE BODY SHOP DROPS OF YOUTH LIQUID PEEL once week also.

I absolutely loved the effect it had on my skin. After use, it left my skin looking brighter, soft, smooth and glowy. I have been using it for almost two months or so and it has helped to visibly reduce my acne marks and my pores are also less visible. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin although it does tingles, but not so much that I can’t handle.

It is very important that you use sunscreen during the day if you are going to use this, as the acid makes you more vulnerable to sunburn afterwards and also I advice you do a patch test for before using all over you face. just to be safe.

I love this product and it’s my favourite and most effective product from The Ordinary. I will definitely repurchasing.

I got it from @beeolabeauty on Instagram.

Have you tried it? what are your thoughts?

  1. This sounds really interesting! Currently I just use a glycolic toner, but this definitely sounds like a good once a week treatment that could maybe replace that.
