REVIEW – NARS SOFT MATTE COMPLETE CONCEALER AMANDE AND CARAMEL.

HELLO BEAUTIES!!

NARS recently launched a new concealer called the Soft Matte Complete Concealer and being the fan of their Radiant Creamy Concealer, I knew I had to try it. The Radiant Creamy Concealer is one of my favourites till date and I had high hopes that Soft Matte Complete Concealer would perform better than the creamy concealer. Continue reading to know how I feel about it.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer is medium to full coverage. It’s very creamy and applies smoothly on the skin. It is really pigmented and feels lightweight.

This concealer is matte. Upon application, it sets immediately so I like to apply and blend immediately section by section. If you have textured and dry skin around your eyes, you have to be careful around this concealer. And I mean moisturize your undereye really well before using it. Because it can easily accentuate dry patches and makes them look more noticeable. If you get oily around your under eye,  this concealer might be your new favourite, because it doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines and looks very natural .

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer blends beautifully on the skin ( Note – blend immediately) and also conceals my spots really well.

I like to use the shade AMANDE which is my exact shade to cover my dark circles around my eyes for those days that I want to look less tired without wearing a full face of makeup. I use shade CARAMEL to highlight my face if I want full glam.

The differences between the Radiant Creamy concealer and Soft Matte Concealer are more around texture and coverage. The Radiant Creamy Concealer is more creamy and gives a luminous effect that isn’t oily and does a fantastic job at covering dark circles and brightening the undereye area. It is also suitable for all skin type.. The Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer is more concentrated and offers more coverage. It’s more matte and suitable for people with oily/combination skin.

I personally prefer the Radiant Creamy Concealer because I have dry under eye area and I love the finish.

Have you tried it? What are your thoughts on it?

  1. Not sure if you care, but the shade name is Amande, which is french for Almond, not Amanda 😉 I like to think we all have each other’s backs here on wordpress, and it’s so simple to make little mistakes with all the crazy make up names.
Anyways, I love your pictures. I have been wanting to use this concealer for a while but I was concerned that it might dry out my under eyes. I definitely have issues with dryness under there. This would probably work well as a spot corrector for me though. Great review!
