So I have been trying out the Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation since I got it on friday and I think I am ready to review it for you guys lol! Continue reading!

We all know the excitement for the Fenty Beauty line isn’t just about Rihanna but also because of the shade range. This foundation comes in 40 SHADES! not 38 shades of beige and two shades for medium tan skin, but 40 shades of light, fair, medium, tan, dark, deep and dark deep shades for a first launch. I mean finally! a line of foundation that caters to almost every skin tone. I have to give it up to Rihanna and the whole of Fenty Beauty term. They did GREAT! And to think they are still going to add more shades, GIRLLL! I am more than impressed and I appreciate that so much!

Give it to me quick: A soft matte, longwear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage, in a boundary-breaking range of 40 shades.

It gives skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin. Best of all, this longwearing, light-as-air texture is undetectable on skin — so you always look like you.
A comfortable longwear formula that lets skin look like skin. Made for all women to love.
Shade-Finding Tips:
Always shake before use to activate. Pro Filt’r’s rich pigments need a moment to dry down to their truest color, so when you’re testing shades, remember to let the formula dry completely to find your perfect match. Deciding between two shades? Try the lighter shade.
Fenty Beauty is 100% cruelty free.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation comes in a frosted glass with a glossy creamy white pump. You all know I am not a fan of white or cream packaging when it comes to makeup, but this white pump is glossy and so easy to maintain. All you have to do is clean it with a wipe when it stains and it new again. So YES to the packaging. Love it.

The shade I got is 420, it’s a decent match, I was worried at first because I heard it oxidizes. But this foundation didn’t oxides on me at all. Like at all!! It did deepen a little bite after it dried down, but it wasn’t even noticeable. I might get 410 simply because I think it has more of a golden undertone, 420 I would say is golden/yellow, but for now this one is fine.

The Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is medium coverage that is buildable but not to full coverage on me. If you don’t have scars or discolouration, it might probably be full coverage on you. But on me it’s medium and I prefer to use a brush for application than a blending sponge, cause that way I get more coverage.

The consistency is quiet thin and feels completely weightless on the skin. It blends beautifully into the skin and  looks just like skin. It doesn’t settle in fine lines and does a pretty decent job at blurring pores. It feels really comfortable and looks flawless on the skin.

Upon application, It dries down almost immediately to a beautiful matte finish. You can actually get away with not setting this foundation if you have dry/normal skin. It is really matte, no matter your skin type, you need to moisturize well and use a good primer before using this foundation. once it set, it stays put and doesn’t transfer. I love that even when it sets, you can still build the coverage and it won’t look cakey at all.

The Fenty beauty pro filter soft matte long wear foundation did last more than 6hours on me without blotting and I only had to blot my tzone afterwards. It didn’t separate or get patchy on me, it just looked flawless all through.

In conclusion, I didn’t think I was going to like this foundation, but I do like it. I only wish it was more full coverage. Aside that, it’s a beautiful foundation. Oily/combination/dry skin can use it, if you have dry skin make sure you moisturize well and use a hydrating primer..

I think I covered everything on this foundation. If there is anything I didn’t mention, feel free to ask.

Have you tried it? what are your thoughts? Let me know.
