Today’s review is going to be on Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer.
A shine-stopping, pore-diffusing primer that smooths the way for better foundation application and longer wear with an instant retouch effect.
Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer is the first step to getting there. Paired with Pro Filt’r Foundation, this oil-free primer smooths away the look of pores, visibly evens skin tone and texture, and instantly absorbs shine without feeling dry or chalky. That means smoother foundation application and longer makeup wear.
Unlike a basic mattifying primer, Pro Filt’r’s cushiony, touch-me-now texture mattifies skin with the lightest-possible feel, for a full-on sensorial experience. And the universal invisipink formula? It’s not just pretty—it creates a filter-like blurring effect and melts instantly into all skin tones without a trace. Pro Filt’r works all day to help makeup last longer, feeling lightweight and comfortable, so you don’t have to worry about your skin—and you’ll be ready for anything.
The packaging is the same as the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, just with a different colour(soft baby pink). It’s looks really classy and I like. I especially love the pump dispenser that it comes with, I don’t think I own any primer with pump dispenser. It makes it easy to take out the product.
The Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer is very lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin. Just a little amount goes a long way. It blends easily into the skin with fingers and does not leave any white cast behind. It totally disappears into the skin.
It feels really nice and smooth on the skin. It more like a moisturizing primer to me, with a soft matte finish that isn’t flat. It preps my skin and eliminate shine and helps foundation glide on smoothly and easily.
It does not feel heavy or sticky at all, It gives my skin a soft and smooth finish. This primer has a very mild vanilla fragrance, that isn’t over powering and I like it.
Fenty Beauty claims this primer imparts a “pore-diffusing finish”, I don’t have large pores, but I did not notice any difference in the size of my pores. It did make my skin feel soft and smooth , but my pores were still there.
Also this primer didn’t help my makeup last longer at all. My makeup looked flawless all through but the oil on my Tzone started to shine through after like three hours.
Overall, this primer is worth trying if you have normal/dry skin with little or no pores. I am sure you would love it. But if you have large pores and you are combination/oily skin, you will need a mattifying pore primer with it if you decide to get it.
Have you tried it and what are your thoughts??
