HAPPY NEW YEAR guys!! I trust you all are enjoying the holidays. Not long ago HudaBeauty launched her foundations #FAUXFILTER FOUNDATION which included 30 shades for all skin tone. I must say, I was impressed. The #FauxFilter foundation was also launched with a Primer Complexion Perfection and a synthetic Face, Buff & Blend Brush. I have been testing it since I got it and here is my review.

What #FauxFilter is:

#FauxFilter is a full-coverage velvety foundation, available in 30 delicious shades, that will give you a flawless long-lasting look in just one application. Hiding blemishes, concealing imperfections, and camouflaging dark circles, this amazing formula is packed with ultra-refined pigments that make uneven skin a thing of the past.

What #FauxFilter does:

The intelligent liquid foundation blends seamlessly with skin and dries to a radiant matte powder finish that looks luminous, not dry or cakey. Enriched with good-for-your-skin ingredients like Argan Oil and Centella Asiatica, both known for their hydrating properties, this fade-proof formula blends seamlessly into the skin, simultaneously working to improve skin texture. Count on #FauxFilter to give you flawless full-coverage with just one pump, or blend together with the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base primer for an even, more natural finish.

The HudaBeauty #FauxFilter Foundation comes in a black ombre design plastic bottle. The bottle feel very lightweight like there is nothing in it which isn’t bad for travel. You get 35ml of product which is 5ml more than a standard foundation bottle size and a primer sample.  The bottle has a built-in pump which is great and easy to use.

The first shade I got was Cinnamon, which was too yellow and lighter than my complexion (nc50), then I got Chocolate mousse which is my shade, although too neutral but manageable. I also got the Face brush, wasn’t necessary but I love brushes and it was just difficult to!

The HudaBeauty #FauxFilter Foundation is a full coverage foundation. It covers up my spots, blemishes and imperfections perfectly well with two pumps leaving a very flawless and smooth finish.

It is super pigmented and thick in texture. It doesn’t feel too heavy and doesn’t look cakey at all. It blends seamlessly into the skin with a brush or beauty blender. It doesn’t settle in fine lines and covers my pores beautifully. It does oxidize a little when it sets but not very noticeable.

The #FauxFilter is a matte foundation. Upon application, it dries down to a radiant matte finish that isn’t flat. Once it sets, it stays put. It last for up to 7hours still looking fresh without separating and settling into fine lines.

My issue with the #FauxFilter Foundation… First the scent. I really don’t mind lightly fragranced complexion products but this one seems too much for me. Although it doesn’t smell bad and it goes away by the time am done with my makeup but still, it’s too much. Then the undertones. I highly recommend shade matching your complexion before getting this foundation. The shades are either too olive, too yellow or too neutral/cool. If you are able to get your perfect or shade, then go for it.

Overall, I love the finish and coverage of this foundation. It’s so flawless and even though its matte, it has kind off like a luminous look once applied which I love. I hope she comes out with more shades with golden undertone and less olive. Dry/Normal skin can use it with a well moisturized canvas and without setting with powder, for my Combination/Oily skin, I still like to set it so it last longer.

Have you tried it and what are your thoughts??
